Valentine’s Day Gift Basket

Another great Valentine Gift Idea is the Valentine Basket. These are so cool because they combine several gifts into one cool looking basket. If you pick out something that your special someone doesn’t like, it’s ok because there are other things in the basket!

You have two options when it comes to Valentine Gift Baskets, make your own or buy one pre-made. I’m sort of lazy so I would rather just browse baskets already made by professionals and buy one online and have it delivered. If that’s you, here are some cool gift baskets you can check out. For the “do it yourselfer”, it’s pretty easy to make your own gift basket with just one trip to the store.  Making a gift basket yourself allows you to totally customize and personalize to the taste of you girlfriend or boyfriend, husband or wife.  You can get everything you need at the grocery store in most cases.  Here’s a list of all of the stuff you need.

• Basket – not the big metal shopping basket!  Look for a nice, small wicker basket.  If you don’t see one, you may can sometimes find a cheap floral arrangement and buy it just for the basket.
• Wine – I think wine is a good idea for your Valentine’s Basket if your lover likes wine.  It put’s them in the mood if you know what I’m saying.
• Chocolates or candy – This is classic Valentine’s Day.  Make sure your lover is ok with chocolate and candy.  Some people don’t like it because it makes you fat lol.
• Flowers – Roses are the #1 Valentines Flowers. You don’t need a dozen because they are going into a basket with other stuff.  Pick up some baby’s breath or other floral filler.  If you are charming, the florist will probably just give you some for free!
• Card – You can buy one if you are lazy, but it is better to pick up some nice paper and write your own card.
• Wrapping paper – While you are on the card isle, grab some pretty red wrapping paper with hearts and stuff on it.  Also get some tissue paper.

Now go home, and lay it all on the table.  Put some wrapping paper in the basket face down.  Put some tissue paper on top of that.  Next, arrange all the cool gifts in the basket and insert the flowers and baby’s breath between all of the gifts.  Last, pull the wrapping paper and tissue paper up around the gift.  Crinkle it up some or maybe tie a ribbon around it.
