Anyone can go to the store and pick out a generic Valentine’s Day card, but that is not good enough for you or your lover! No, you want something cool, something romantic, something they have never received before and will remember until next year. Chocolate: Tried and true. This is great for some people but not for others. Me personally, I love chocolate, but I feel guilty eating it. I’m not a big guy, but I feel chocolate tastes so good, it must be making me fat, so I don’t eat it much. I’m certainly not telling you not to get Chocoloates for your Vday gift, but just try and figure out how that special someone feels about it first. Remember, each color of roses means something different, so think about the color selection before you shell out your cash. Then you can either have them shipped to your door or your lovers door or work, or you can pick them up at a local florist.

Ok guys, here is my personal favorite….. The Valentine’s Day Scavenger Hunt. This goes over beautifully if you can pull it off. First off, brainstorm 6 or 7 romantic things you could do for your significant other: romantic poems, massage, cook diner, chocolates, roses, etc… Next you have to arrange a place to do this, your home is easy if you live together. When I did it for my girlfriend, she lived with her sister and her sister was able to let me in their house. The idea is to strategically place (hide) notes or tokens with the special things you brainstormed earlier. Each with a clue as to the location of the next item. You can use rose petals or little candies to lead them to the first clue. In my example, I put little heart candies leading from my girlfriends front door leading to a note with a short poem explaining that she was in a scavenger hunt and telling where the next item was. Once she found that, there were chocolates with another clue as to the next item’s location. I did this for as many items as I could brainstorm, 6 or 7, and on the last one led her to a big gift, which was a Valentine’s Teddy Bear. She loved it because it was much more exciting for her than me just giving her a bear.
For the guys, if you have been with your gal for a while, there is nothing wrong with giving your girl a different kind of Valentines Teddy!
